Pandit Satyendra Deo Sharma, Sitar Maestro started his training at the age of eight with word famous music Maestro Baba Ustad Allaudin Khan (who is also Master or Guru of Pandit Ravishanker and Ali Akhaber and Nikhil Benarji) from Maiher Music College in Madhya Pradesh. He graduated as a bachelor of music at Khairaguth University, Madhya Pradesh.
In 1974, he started a music school in Laxmibai high school in Jabalpur. He gave many sitar concerts in India that brought him the title of “LITTLE RAVISHANKAR” from the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh. He received prizes from different institutions and organizations like Sharda Music College, Jabalpur University and Hindi Rangmunch.
From 1977 on, he played for Osho in Puna during two years. Afterwards he established in Bombay the Academy of Indian Music at Breach Candy School and the Birla K.G. School in Napean Sea Road. In these institutions, he receives students from all over the world.
In March 1980, he went for the first time to Europe visiting Holland and Germany for three months where he gave twenty concerts in several cities. In the year 2000, the government of Italy organized for him a Sitar concert at the festival of Roma. In the last seven years, he visited other cities like Florence, Torino, Palermo and Sicilia. He recorded audio and video cassettes and recently a CD in Italy called “Desert of Rajastan”.
He is visiting many countries like Australia, Singapore, New Zeeland, Korea, Costa Rica and the United States of America every year.
